Called to be instigators

Normally an instigator is someone who goes against the flow, or the norm in a bad way. I believe this passage we are going to look at today hits on a couple of topics that go against the norms of society, of popular thought and which may even to a large majority of the population seem to be antiquated and out dated.

I believe scriptures like the ones we are looking at today call us to go against the flow of what is popular or seen to be the norms of society, to be instigators in a good way so that people can see the truth of God’s word revealed in our lives.

This passage of scripture is an incredible passage as it gives instruction into every level of relationship that we encounter in the world. It speaks to men, women, children, employees and employers. Each one of us are found in at least one of those categories today so none of us can hide from what Christ is trying to highlight to us through His word.

Settle this in your heart before we go any further today… GOD THIS IS YOUR WORD TO ME TODAY, NOT TO ANYONE ELSE, NOT TO POINT FINGERS BUT TO CHANGE MY HEART.
